On March 4th all of us here at GEO decided to take on a new initiative. We wanted to take additional steps over and above our recyclable product, and our 1% commitment to charity. We wanted to make helping the planet as simple as clicking a button. Out of this idea our  “No Trick, Just Tree’s” campaign was born. For every follow on all of our social networks we will facilitate the planting of a tree. This campaign is just another small step we take here at Geo to ensure we are preserving this planet for our future generations, however, without amazing organizations like Trees for the Future, none of this would be feasible.

Trees For the Future (TREES) is an organization that was founded by Dave and Grace Deppner in 1989. Dave and Grace served as volunteers in the Philippines, and while serving they became witnesses to one of the greatest human tragedies, illegal logging and unsustainable land management. TREES was bread out of the desire to fix this devastation but little did they know how much impact they would have. A mere quarter century later TREES has planted over 5 million trees in over 19 countries – restoring life to the land that had previously been destroyed and abandoned.

Over 100,000 acres of forest are lost to the world every day, soil is being degraded and streams are drying up. Together we can combat this crisis, together we can restore land and develop sustainable land management practices, together we can grow forests, reduce food shortages, and improve air quality. All it takes is a follow on a social networks or a donation to an amazing organization like TREES.
